Been playing around in 3D Equaliser over the last month or so alongside my other work, got a few things steady in it, at least I feel comfortable with the UI and where everything is now.

Remember those heads from a while back? Well, I finally got around to most of them today.. Still got 2 more to do, but having a little break tonight to begin my new year “Super a Day”.. Mr. Josh Radburn and Everett Downing get a shout out for this one, made me wanna have a shot at it myself 🙂 will be a totally new page for that one here, keep your eyes peeled.

Inspired by the Rammus image from Grump Monkey and made my own Blitzcrank. Gotta love LoL 🙂

EDIT: Someone mentioned that I should post the texture maps for this, so yeah, in a few days when I’ve got everything together (I have, again, something a little more pressing I need to work on :P) I’ll post that and the low poly version up for everyone 🙂

WIP Blitzcrank

Quick WIP shot render from a Blitzcrank model I’m making (A character from the game League of Legends). Was inspired by Grumpy Monkey’s Rammus. Quite a way to go on this one before I’m happy with it.

EDIT: Might be worth mentioning this is around 6 hours work from scratch. Definitely want to finish this off. Gotta work on something else during this week though. Busy busy.


My other project with the heads is still ongoing, I’ll attempt to finish them all and post up next weekend!

Sculpts for a friendly project…

Been busting out the work as of late, required to get this project finished on a tight deadline, this is the product of the last four days sculpting in Zbrush.


Tommy Gun texture nearly done!

Spent a few days fighting to get this looking nearly right, quite happy with it now. That winding mechanism is making the whole piece look less than what it should be though, along with some edge “butterfly” issues from the mirrored UV’s, definitely going back to to fix that section of the model and update everything on the weekend, but right another more important project is pressing me.





Tommy Gun Update

Quick update, have now applied AO and baked normal maps to a low poly mesh, tri count is around 15k, figured this would be alright considering the model is supposed to be for a main character of a next gen game. Hoping to get this finished this week and get onto the sword I have planned for the character these weapons are attached too. Spent tonnes of time learning things I didn’t even know I had to pick up just to get this looking somewhere near. Happy with it now 🙂

Just gonna post up this terry close up test re-render I did a while back, took his hair off as I feel it looks a little better, just messing around with some of the sss settings to give it a bit more luster than the one I’m using as my website banner.


WIP Tommy Gun

Current progress on something I’ve just started work on, this is going to be a weapon for a character I’m working on. Modelling here is around 80% done, just have a few details to add before I bake the normals and ao and go into nDo to add the final details.
