So time to make a new post or two about things I’ve been up to in Uni, this is the result of a simple erosion effect made in Houdini for my final year Innovations project.
The idea was to be able to have particles effecting the surface quality of the object in real time to degrade it, the particles aimed to replicate the effects of rain water and were then scaled up to shorten the time frame, this time frame can be scaled. Further improvements would allow the time frame to be more than just an arbitrary multiplier and have it relate more to real world time.
Its amazing how much research goes into making something like this.
